"Iron Therapy and Entrepreneurship”: Nick Page’s Path to Wellness and Better Days
In this week's blog post, meet Nick Page , Owner/Founder of The Trainer Page Fitness Studio (TTP) & NutritionX. Nick is a true testament to the Better Days mission, as he is committed to embracing the grind of hard work each day and inspiring others to do the same. Fitness and wellness have always been a part of Nick's life, as they have been a powerful therapeutic tool in managing anxiety and depression. Nick has always worked to empower others to discover their strength physically, mentally, and emotionally, and we are so pumped to share his story.
Nick’s fitness journey started back in high school as he got into speed and agility training to help him improve in lacrosse. After school, Nick would go to his local gym and train with the goal of getting faster and stronger. This led Nick to his passion and inspiration for his involvement in the fitness industry.
Fitness has served as an essential component of Nick’s life. Not only did fitness help Nick physically, but it also helped him through mental challenges. Nick shares that exercise became his therapy as he struggled through depression and anxiety. Nick took complete charge of taking care of himself and shifting his focus to include a greater emphasis on mental health as he transitioned from training for athletic performance to working out for his mental wellness.
Nick shares how he and one of his good friends started calling the gym their "iron therapy" because of how much it helped them mentally. This passion grew even further, which inspired Nick to want to help people both physically and mentally, leading him to create The Trainer Page and NutritionX.
The Trainer Page is a fitness studio that follows a large group training model. There are over 50 sessions per week, with each session accommodating up to 30 people, all led by a single trainer. The workout program is pre-designed, and the trainer is there to provide one-on-one support while also fostering a strong sense of community within the group, just like the Better Days mission of building resiliency and strength through community. At The Trainer Page, people are encouraged to better themselves in a way that is both beneficial mentally and physically. Nick wants his members to feel welcome, especially those who might be intimidated by the gym or unsure of what to do.
His goal is simple- “making fitness more accessible and welcoming.”
Nick continued to pursue his passion and grow even further. In addition to The Trainer Page, he discussed his inspiration behind NutritionX, which he explained came from wanting to make an impact in an already saturated market creating an honest, practical product that could provide people with a convenient way to boost their energy while also gaining the benefits of key essential supplements. He described it as “making wellness simpler and more effective for those who need it.” Nick believes that this can be a powerful way to keep individuals energized and feeling good to help them move forward, even on the hard days. After all it is the hard days that lead us into the Better Days!
Nick’s journey in both fitness and entrepreneurship has inspired many individuals as well as built a strong community that truly embodies the Better Days mission. To Nick, the phrase "Better Days" is all about maintaining an optimistic attitude in all situations—both good and bad. Nick shares, "It’s easy to get stuck in a negative mindset, but what has always pushed me through hard times is the belief that better days are ahead, no matter how tough things get. It ties back to the idea that this too shall pass. Even when you’re having a bad day, you can remind yourself that it’s temporary and that brighter days are coming."
Nick inspires his members and community to show up each day. He hopes that people can show up to The Trainer Page, push through their challenges, and leave feeling better than when they walked in. Nick believes that it’s not just about physical fitness; "It’s about resilience, mindset, and finding strength through movement."
Through The Trainer Page and NutritionX, Nick continues to live the Better Days mission and inspire his community to do the same. Nick’s story shows true grit, resilience, and exponential growth. He has faced great challenges in his personal journey as well as his business journey. Nick’s relentless effort teaches us that no matter how many obstacles you face, you can overcome them and evolve. Nick shares that “Growth comes from going through hard times, facing difficult situations, and having tough conversations.” Nick inspires others to keep pushing, reminding us that sometimes “challenges are a necessary part of progress” and to never give up when faced with adversity.
Each day, Nick strives to make each day better through various core values that he instilled in his business and life. These values include humility, hard work, smart work, relentless drive, resilience, and perseverance. These values have helped better Nick as a leader and person both in and outside of the gym. They have helped him continue to push through challenges, as he shares that “At the end of the day, you can’t lose if you don’t quit.”
Nick’s latest endeavors within TTP are embracing the boring work because we believe that the boring work is brilliant work. We know that by staying consistent and focused, we can continue to grow by 150 to 200 new members. One of the biggest things we’re excited about is the launch of our new nutrition program. This is a huge addition to our company, allowing us to help people even more—not just with fitness, but with their nutrition and overall health.
